UN General Assembly (UNGA 78)

During the historic #UNGA78 and the transformative #SDGActionWeekend, I found myself engaged in a global discourse with world leaders and influential figures who are relentlessly working towards a better world. These dialogues were far from ordinary; they served as the crucible for change, where ideas converged and ambitions soared. However, amidst these robust discussions, a disquieting silence prevailed—an unsettling absence of accountability and justice.

I had the opportunity to stand before the Secretariat and H.E Antonio Guterres, daring to question their stance on Armenia's ecological actions in Azerbaijani territory and the blatant violation of the UN Charter of Human Rights. It is not only morally reprehensible but also an affront to our collective humanity that within the United Nations, many voices chose not to seek solutions for these heinous crimes. It's a glaring paradox that, despite the rhetoric of action and development, there remained a gap in addressing the very real challenges facing our planet.

We must be the agents of change, the architects of a world where justice prevails, where we all work together to achieve the #SDGs, where the protection of human rights is unwavering, and where populism cannot serve as a cover for personal interests. This is not just a responsibility; it's our destiny. The world is watching, and it's time to make it truly listen. We must join hands and hold those responsible accountable.
