As a 15-year-old boy who loves playing the piano, I had the opportunity to showcase my talent at a music contest held at the Yelo Bank's headquarters. The stage was set up with a piano, and I was accompanied by the first Azerbaijan orchestra consisting of only women.
I was one of the youngest participants in the contest, and I was initially nervous about performing in front of such a large audience. However, as soon as I sat at the piano, my nerves dissipated, and I became lost in the music.
I played a piece by Azerbaijan's great composer Eldar Mansurov, "The Melody." I was delighted to receive a standing ovation from the audience.
As the competition progressed, I was struck by the diversity of musical talent. The competitors showcased a wide range of musical styles and techniques, from singers to guitarists to opera singers. Seeing so many people sharing their love of music in such a positive and supportive environment was inspiring.
It was an opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds and celebrate music's power to bring people together.
